These include, but are not limited to, surgical ears, sudden sensorineural hearing loss, tinnitus, hyperacusis, and misophonia. The student chosen for this externship will be supervised by two audiologists with over 10 years experience in the field with a track record of successful externs (including former students who are current directors of their medical centers). The student chosen for this externship must be prepared to provide service to patients from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds (from hedge-fund managers to those who are unhoused) and language backgrounds (we make copious use of remote simultaneous video interpreter service for people who have limited English proficiency).
