- The externship runs June1st, 2027 through June1st, 2028, with an annual stipend of $30,000. Students typically see patients Monday through Friday,8 to 4, with a one-hour lunch. Scrubs are provided (three pairs), and charting is in EPIC. Prior EPIC experience is not required. The training model emphasizes progressive independence with support from a primary preceptor and the full audiology team. The caseload spans pediatrics through geriatric patients and includes diagnostic testing, hearing aid follow-ups, and supervised fittings. The objective is steady growth toward independent practice with reliable access to mentorship.
