We are accepting 1 audiology student extern for this academic cycle.

The experience is paid at $19.29/hour. Start date is May to June.

Rawls Clinical Audiology is a patient-centered private practice located in the Cherry Creek neighborhood of Denver, CO.

We provide compassionate, high-quality hearing healthcare to a diverse population, including non-English speakers, incarcerated individuals, patients utilizing financial assistance programs, and underserved communities in rural Colorado.

Our externship offers robust clinical training in diagnostics, amplification, and community-based care. Students will gain experience working in both urban and rural settings—including a rural outreach clinic we travel to twice monthly—and have the option to attend a humanitarian audiology service trip to Mexico.

Services Provided:

• Comprehensive diagnostic hearing evaluations

• Hearing aid selection, fitting, and verification

• Patient counseling and education

• Hearing protection and tinnitus support

• Home visits for patients with mobility issues

• Physician marketing and relationship-building

• Participation in community outreach and events

Externship Experience Includes:

• Serving patients from all walks of life in an inclusive and welcoming environment

• Exposure to private practice operations

• Optional humanitarian service trip to Mexico

• Experience with culturally and linguistically diverse populations

• Working closely with a small, dedicated team committed to mentorship and clinical excellence

Qualifications:

• AuD candidates in good standing from an accredited program

• Strong diagnostic foundation and interest in amplification

• Cultural competence and commitment to inclusive care

• Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and eager to learn in a fast-paced private practice setting
