Are you seeking an enriching and immersive externship experience that blends the charm of small-town America with a comprehensive, hands-on education in audiology? Look no further—Audiology Services of West Virginia invites you to join our dynamic and patient-centered private practice, with thriving clinic locations in both Parkersburg, WV and Charleston, WV.

Our externship offers an exciting opportunity to work in a high-paced, multi-specialty environment that serves both urban and rural communities across the Mountain State. As a part of our team, you’ll gain exposure to a wide spectrum of audiological services, including:

• Comprehensive diagnostic evaluations for both adult and pediatric populations

• Hearing aid treatment and management, tailored to both children and adults

• Cochlear and osseointegrated implant care, guided by a robust clinical protocol and strong partnership with the Cochlear Provider Network

• Vestibular assessment services using a modified AIB protocol—our practice is proud to be designated as a Center for Specialty Care

• In-house vestibular rehabilitation therapy, provided in collaboration with our skilled team of physical and occupational therapists through our Integrative Therapy Institute

• Tinnitus evaluation and management, led by a certified tinnitus specialist

• Educational audiology services, provided through ongoing partnerships with school systems throughout the state

• Central Auditory Processing evaluations and rehabilitation, coordinated by our pediatric audiology specialist

If you’re interested in the business side of audiology, this externship also provides a rare and valuable opportunity: One of our practice owners is a staff member at The Ohio State University, where they teach Private Practice Management. As an extern, you’ll have access to individual mentorship meetings that focus on the ins and outs of owning and running a successful audiology practice.

Our team includes nine highly experienced audiologists, each with their own unique mentoring style. You’ll benefit from a rich variety of clinical perspectives and educational approaches. Additionally, all externs participate in regularly scheduled “Learning Labs,” a collaborative, topic-driven series that deepens your understanding of complex audiological concepts in a peer-supported format.
