Awesome Paid Audiology Externship in Iowa
Parker Audiology in the Iowa Quad Cities is offering a PAID 4th year Au.D. Externship, $40,000. This is an ongoing extern position. We follow ACEN guidelines. We strive to work with Au.D. students and universities around the country to show off our beautiful state. Iowa is a great place to be 🙂
Our team is small and mighty!  We create a supportive environment for our externships that fosters independence and helpful feedback on clinical experiences. We perform diagnostic testing, cerumen removal, and hearing aid sales and service. We expect our providers to follow best practices including otoscopy, complete diagnostic testing, tympanometry, cerumen removal, and real ear measurements. We believe that the audiologist is the visionary of our patient’s hearing healthcare: We show our patients the way to better hearing which includes routine follow ups, ongoing evaluations and Aural Rehabilitation. Learning to delegate tasks is a new experience for our externs, and we have an audiology assistant to help develop that experience. Our office does not work with TPP insurance; a high touch experience with our patients is expected.  This position has a flexible start date and generally begins June and ends in May.
